Speichim Processing and Valls Quimica, subsidiaries of Séché Environnement, lead the European market in solvent regeneration.
We harness our expertise and operational proficiency in chemical distillation to separate solvents from other components to produce a solvent of comparable quality to the virgin product.
We adapt our processes depending on the properties of the product that requires treatment, providing custom work. Our clients operate in a variety of industries, including pharmaceutics and veterinary services, cosmetics, perfume, agro-chemical, petrochemical, fine chemical, automotive, aeronautic, printing, varnish and coloring and thermosolar.
With 5 specialist facilities across France and Spain, we have developed a recovery channel for your residues, making it possible to reuse solvents once they have been regenerated. Our solution minimizes the use of fossil resources and eliminates the need for incineration. It means exhausted solvents no longer need to be considered as waste, instead becoming a resource, which therefore cuts your carbon footprint. Indeed, regenerating solvents creates 80% less emissions than producing virgin solvents from hydrocarbons.
Our regenerated solvents present the same properties as their virgin counterpart, and can be reintegrated into their original process (you conserve ownership of your product), or be redirected to a new use in industry (we take ownership of the solvent).
We also regenerate other products, including monomers.
Furthermore, we provide services covering all technical and regulatory aspects (sorting, transport, substitution of hazardous solvents, etc.).
Solvent regeneration always requires complex planning: production campaign duration, scheduling of shutdowns, upstream/downstream storage capacity, distances between plants, and regulatory approvals. As part of our comprehensive solvent management service, you benefit from end-to-end support:

We conduct a personalized assessment of the products, safety studies and toxicology, risk assessment and change control.

After having considered the project feasibility and accepted the project, we set out the process. We test the critical impurities and parameters, as well as the temperature-sensitivity, solubility and cleaning, determining the most suitable treatments.

We run a pilot and an initial pre-industrial trial in the lab to ensure the process is viable. The distillation procedure is approved and we collect feedback.

We follow the most suitable procedures in the full-scale distillation process, including atmospheric pressure, azeotropes, extraction, vacuum, reactive, and molecular. Distilling and recovering solvents produce outputs of around 90%. At the same time, we offer to bridge this gap with virgin solvents to maintain the quantity and quality of your supplies.

We have been distilling chemicals for over 50 years. The success of each operation is based on a series of laboratory analyses and tests, followed by a pre-industrial pilot. We support you throughout the project on all technical, logistical, and regulatory aspects. Our comprehensive solvent management service allows you to reduce the number of your contacts and suppliers.

Speichim Processing and Valls Química play a key role in the sovereignty of the European chemical industry.
Their regenerated products serve as substitutes for supplies that are predominantly sourced from outside Europe.
This relocation of critical input production directly helps reduce risks related to the availability and costs of imported products.
